Earlier today, the Housing and Urban Development Minister, the Honourable Major General (Ret’d) Edmund Dillon distributed housing units at Sugar Hill Terrace, Rampanalgas Village at key distribution ceremony under the Ministry’s Housing and Village Improvement Programme.
The Housing and Village Improvement Programme targets residents living in dilapidated conditions in rural and peri-urban areas. The intent is to improve the living conditions at both the individual and communal levels.
This forms part of Phase II of the Housing and Village Improvement Programme and involves the handing over twenty-nine (29) new starter units to beneficiaries of Rampanalgas who signed up for the programme with the Ministry of Housing and Urban Development. In addition, three (3) families were allocated home improvement grants to conduct remedial works on their homes.
This programme is facilitated by the Land Settlement Agency, an agency of the Ministry of Housing and Urban Development.
