Sod Turning Ceremony for Swimming Facility at the Laventille Sogren Trace Sports Centre
Students and residents of the Laventille, Morvant, Belmont and Port of Spain communities will soon benefit from the construction of a Swimming Facility at the Laventille Sogren Trace Sports Centre. On February 2, 2018, the Honourable Randall Mitchell, Minister of Housing and Urban Development joined Sport and Youth Affairs Minister, Darryl Smith, members of parliament for the area and the Mayor of Port of Spain to turn the sod for the Laventille Community Swimming Facility.
This project will be managed by the Urban Development Corporation of Trinidad and Tobago Limited – Udecott and is expected to be completed by the end of the year.
