Housing Distribution Ceremony – Lake View
Yesterday, Prime Minister Dr. the Hon. Keith Rowley and Housing and Urban Development Minister the Hon. Major General (Retd) Edmund Dillon, MP distributed homes located at the HDC’s Lake View, Pier Road and Hubertstown Housing Development to 71 families including members of the protective service and defence force.
The Lake View Housing Development commenced in April 2006 but was suspended on many occasions. Works resumed in January 2016 and from then to now, 75 units have been completed and delivered.
This development comprises single family and townhouse/duplex units. To date, 294 units have been delivered to qualified applicants on the housing database with 133 more units to be completed and delivered by May 2019.
In his remarks, newly appointed Housing and Urban Development Minister, Major General (Retd) Edmund Dillon provided an update on some of the work done by the HDC over the last two years which includes completing 7 developments, starting 9 new projects, and the resumption of work on over ten previously stalled projects.
